What is a Thailand DMC and how is it different from a travel agency?
A destination management company is the in-country operator behind the itinerary. Explera contracts the hotels, runs the transfers and guides, and manages your guests on the ground 24/7 — while you own the client relationship and the retail margin. We are B2B-only, so we never sell around you.
How do travel agents get net rates from Explera?
Register as a partner with your agency details and IATA or national license number. After verification — usually one business day — you receive net contracted rates for hotels, transfers and excursions, plus a dedicated account manager working Thai ground time.
Is Explera licensed and insured?
Yes. Explera DMC is licensed by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT licence no. 00/00000) and fully insured as a ground operator. Licence details appear on every quotation and service voucher.
Can itineraries be fully customised for our clients?
Customisation is the core of the product. Every program is built around your clients’ travel style, pace and budget — from a Phuket honeymoon with private charters to a 300-delegate incentive across multiple destinations. Static FIT packages exist for speed; tailor-made is the default.
When is the best time to send clients to Thailand?
Thailand works year-round if you route by coast. November–February is the national peak: cool and dry nearly everywhere. March–May suits the Andaman beaches before the monsoon, with Songkran in April. June–October is green season — best rates, lush landscapes, and the Gulf islands (Samui, Phangan, Tao) stay relatively dry while the Andaman sees storms.
