How far in advance should Hype Boat Club be booked?
Join-in tickets are usually available 3–7 days out in low season, but high-season departures and premium seating sell out 1–2 weeks ahead. Full private charters need 3–6 weeks of lead time depending on the date. Explera checks live availability with the operator before quoting.
What is included in a join-in ticket?
Hotel pickup and drop-off within the standard Phuket zones, the full day aboard, the international buffet, selected drinks, snorkelling equipment and the live DJ program. Premium drinks and personal extras are paid on board.
Is Hype suitable for children or younger guests?
It is a party product — live DJ, bars and a dance-deck atmosphere — and is best recommended for guests 18 and over. Families looking for a boat day are better served by our private speedboat charters or the family-friendly Yona morning session, which we can quote instead.
What about seasickness?
The catamaran hull is far more stable than a speedboat and most guests are fine, but anyone sensitive should take a motion-sickness tablet 30–60 minutes before boarding and stay on the lower deck mid-vessel. Sea conditions are calmest from roughly November to April.
What happens in bad weather?
Departures run in most conditions, but the operator can adjust the route or cancel in unsafe weather. If a departure is cancelled, Explera rebooks your clients on the next available date or refunds per the conditions on your confirmation — you deal with our desk, not a call centre.
Which hotels are covered by pickup?
Standard pickup covers the main Phuket zones — Patong, Kata, Karon, Kamala, Bang Tao and Phuket Town areas. Hotels outside the standard zones can be connected with a private Explera transfer to Chalong Pier, quoted on the same booking.
Can we charter the whole boat privately?
Yes — the vessel takes up to around 85 guests on a full private charter with its crew, DJ and buffet, and custom routing or event production can be arranged. Charters are quoted per manifest: send the date, headcount and event brief to the trade desk.
How does payment work through Explera?
You pay Explera against a written quotation — bank transfer in eight receiving currencies or secure card payment — and receive confirmed vouchers with pickup times. Agencies settle at net trade terms on one invoice, combinable with hotels, transfers and tours for the same clients.
